NAHBS/RVA TRICK JAM/ DEATH PEDAL 2 PREMIERE WEEKEND

All I can say about this weekend is wow. The amount of chaos that was caused this past weekend in Richmond is hard to describe, oh wait it's actually simple......DELCO. Heres my take on the trip from my Iphone: From the moment we arrived, I could tell that the weekend was going to be out of hand. Leaving PA was great due to the fact that we have been hit with countless storms over the past few weeks.

The first day we met up with a huge group to go ride some street spots in Richmond. It was awesome to finally get to meet everyone from not only around the US, but also from around the world. The first spot we rode was an apartment complex with banks on the property. It consisted of lots of banks, a hip transfer, and a gap to the street.

After riding for a little we stopped at a rest stop to grab some drinks, and for most of us beef jerky. Before we left a local town lurker came up to Torey swearing he saw him in a bar a week prior, pretty funny.

After we left the gas station we ended up riding downtown at the white walls wall-rides. This is one of the best spots I've ever ridden in my life, so much potential and lots of space for whatever your into. The best part of this spot was the brick wall that we smashed down with the weak foundation.

After the white walls session everyone wanted to get something to eat. We ended up a Little Caesar's pizza. After some pizza throwing at cars and fucking around people split to go back to the hotels. We chilled under the parking garage for a good while waiting for people to get their shit together for the Carey town bike shop party. When we arrived we started locking our bikes in ridiculous places, the roadies didn't like us.

As the night progressed and the bikes shop ran out of beer, a few people mentioned a party at the "Unicorn Sex Palace, Ted and I were sold right there. When we arrived it was a frat house completely packed with locals and anyone who had heard of the party. Within 25 minutes the cops swarmed the place causing the place to turn into a mad house.

After the swarm was over, we headed back to the hotel where Gabby, Tom, Antonyo, and Cahill ended up being.
At this point we thought it would be a great idea to start snooping around the hotel for the first time. And uhhh yea ........

So after getting up rather early Tom went off with a group to the NAHBS, and me, Cahill, Antonyo, Zack and the Detroit kids went out to do some street riding before the Trick Comp.

After a good warm up of riding, we all headed to the trick comp. Everything looked really good, props to everyone that set it up. After awhile people left to go ride street:

We spent most of the day here, honestly it never got old it's one of the rawest spots I've ever seen! After everyone was beat we all headed out to get some food. We all split up at Qudoba and Five guys.

Once we ate everyone was on the way to the Cog Exhibit , needless to say it was amazing. The shots were awesome, along with good people, and free beer. After we left there we gathered a group and headed over to the FBM party down the street. Once boredom struck us, a few people went down to the corner store to get some more beer.

After drinking and hanging out in the cold for a good hour and a half, we all went to the Death Pedal 2 Premiere. Drinks were flowing, the place was fucking packed, the line was out the door. After awhile waiting it was finally on the screen ready to play. I have to say the video was rad, at the end DELCO started the hype and glasses were broken and yelling was started. When we headed out I found out I had misplaced my U-lock key, so I told Cahill he could use the lock for whatever he wanted....I heard a store window got smashed that night... .

On the way to the after party Tom slapped a guys bag out of his hand with some type of food in it, I proceeded to follow by doing a nose wheelie on it. When we arrived to the after party it was boring, mainly people drinking and just hanging out in various places. Well then Delco popped off and fireworks were shot off, wrestling started, trashcans were flipped, trash was thrown, people were being pissed on,and a car was almost flipped...almost. Check Prolly's blog for the after party photos. On the way home we had some trouble with some hipster kids in this white car, Antonyo proceeded to smash out one of his lights at a red light. Once we got back to the hotel and piled up the bikes.

Once we finally started to wind down, I woke up to Ted raging inside of our hotel room. I woke up to a lighter in my face, lets just say I thought it was roman candles and I jumped 20 ft in the air. The night ended in some wrestling, fireworks,manginas, and Cahill lurking the room naked. This night was one of the craziest nights of my life. I'm positive everyone at that party now hates DELCO, but we wouldn't have it any other way.When we woke up we took AJ to airport:

On the way back we hit up Buz and Neds for the last time, best fucking BBQ ever.

We said our goodbyes to Antonyo and Zack, and dumped a bag of clothes off the parking garage. Tom ,Cahill, Sam, Gabby, and I headed back to Richmond to the NAHBS for a little bit and met up with Prolly and Ted.

Once we said our goodbyes to Gabby and Sam, it was time to go home. A 4 hour drive awaited us, we were ready to be home but definitely were pissed we had to leave. About 2 hours later, Cahill's car broke the fuck down on 95. Maybe it was karma for being the biggest dickheads all weekend....nah. After an hour of sitting in the cold ass car a tow truck came grabbed his car, and luckily Tom's cousin was able to scoop us up back to Delco.

Thanks to everyone who made all the shit happen! And it was nice seeing everyone!

Tom LaMarche's New Scissor Paintjob

Tom decided a few days ago that he would go with a different frame and fork color on his Charge Scissor. He chose tan for the frame, and black for the fork. Once he put the decals on it looked amazing, everything matches perfect, especially the army green Chukker's he has on it. Here's a peek at how it turned out:

Also, RVA is Friday and I'm fucking stoked. Can't wait to meet everybody, its going to be a good time definitely don't miss out!

This weekend is the River City Trick Jam, I suggest you get your shit together and go, it's gonna be nuts. Were heading up in separate cars down to Richmond, early in the morning on Friday. From what I know the role call sounds insane! SO many dudes from all over the world are going to be there I cant wait....

Almost Ready ..

Today me and Tom went to the city and I picked up the Charge Scissor I'll be riding, thanks Tom for the hook up! Tomorrow I get the pins taken out of my fingers so once I build the bike up and start moving my hand around in therapy or whatever, I should be set. I really like the way things are looking in the scene currently, lots of positive attitudes and good people. I've heard so many good stories about Mid West Mayhem from Tom, I'm pretty bum I missed out. Everything from the riders, the way the event was organized, and the park was amazing. Well things are taking off, and I can only look forward to upcoming events in the future. Hopefully next time I post something, it will include some type of edit! Here's a few snaps of the scissor:

It's been awhile.....

Well it's been about a year now since I've made a post. To be honest I got wrapped up in some shit, and didn't really wanna do anything which included riding. But the whole time I stopped I still found myself looking at all the fixed sites religiously as usual. Well a year went by and I talked to Tom a few days ago, I said fuck it I'm building a bike and having fun with my friends again. But one little mishap is keeping me from riding..... my hand injury. I almost ripped two fingers off unclogging my snow-blower during that last brutal snow storm. I'm currently healing up, but when I do expect big things, I got way to many ideas in my head. With in the next month I'll be riding the Charge Scissor, big ups to Tom, couldn't ask for a better friend. Can't wait to see all the people that I came in contact with before, and most of all can't wait to get back on a bike. Ill put my progress up on here with my hand. The first photo is 3 weeks after I had the accident, and the second is the day it happened. And by the way, if you read my blog, let me know! Earlier tonight I popped Tom's tired during a late night dreary session. Well since his bike is his only way to work, (and he had a schrader valve tube laying around) , he came to the conclusion that he would drill out the deep v in order to accommodate the schrader tube. New York City 9-4-08

This past saturday we all went up to New York City , and had and awesome time. The drive doesn't seem long when you fuck with every single person / car you see along the way. When we got there we unloaded the bikes and met up with John . After warming up and seshing the NY bridge spot, we headed over to Post Bmx and chilled while tom got his chain fixed. The ramp there is tight along with the tag on the wall. We ended up at the brooklyn machine works shop. The dude there was awesome, we tryed out this sweet 24 inch bike ,while drinking ourselves to death with red bull. After hanging out there we rode some street till we met back up with John. We ended up going to the china town quarter pipe things for a little. Then it was off to the Brooklyn Banks. Such an epic spot with so much sick stuff. Then once we were beat we headed home ,which was the most tired drive home ever. White castle made us more tired because they sell puny little cheesburgers with a1 sauce on them. But regardless heres the photos from the trip:

Rainy day , we headed up to northeast to check out Cahill's new living quarters, or should I say bed platform. After sitting around we got to a rail spot to mess around. Minutes later it started pouring. After getting my car and coming back everyone found this parking lot with this epic puddle in it. Sure enough thats all we really needed to do shit Delco style. Lancaster Trip

Everyone went up to Lancaster the past weekend before Tom went to Vegas , and before Cahill left this wonderful piece of earth we call Delaware County. It was so sick we found this gnarly school with pretty much a haggard snake run. It had banks a hip transfer and a nice flyout. After roaming around the city we ended up eating at some vegetarian place. After that we packed our shit up and went back to Delco. Heres photos from the trip:

Cahill,Tom, Vince, and I all drove to the city today, we ended up meeting the coolest dude ever named Rico at seven eleven. We rode around until we met toms friend Bear that works at his shop. Today I was lurkin up myspace, when I glanced over to Myspace's sponsered links section on the home screen. I saw an advertisement for Angry Young and Poor a retail store for punk shit etc. It was pretty ironic because me and a few buds went to the place in the city in Lancaster,Pa the past weekend. So corny but funny that i saw it.

Last Night of Summer Session

We all went to the city for some Delco video filming.

First we went to the dock to basement door spot across from bridge spot.

Then Tom showed us an awesome wall ride spot, him and joe were airing well over 5 feet off of it , here are some photos.

Then we left and rode over to love park to chill/ride for alittle more. After about a half hour or so some dudes starting talking to us and all of sudden cahill offered to throw his bike in the fountain from the top of the park. At first he wanted money, tom offered him 5 bucks which was enough for him he ran up there and ghost rid his bike right into the fountain. Tom later refused to give him the money ahahah. But it turns out cahill owed tom money so he just said he didnt need to pay him back.

Union Ramp Park Bonedeth Jail House Rock Challenge

This past sunday was Union Ramp Parks attempt at a contest that was supposed to be based off of Bonedeth. If you know what real bonedeth is , you would of been dissapointed to be there. A few pieces of concrete blocking the quarter bowl along with a tire, a handicap ramp propped up on a pyramid, a gnarly jersey barrier gap, a wallride with a gap between it, and a rail with a gap between each ramp pretty sums up the park setup. I went up there with the Synergy crew with a purpose of pretty much to hang out and shoot some photos. My boy Schnell , Ant, and Synergy's newest rider Otto entered the contest. It was 35$ to enter and there were two classes, amateur and pro.Schnell just had fun and carved the park throwing grinds out here and there, basically not sweating all the other tailwhip addicted riders. Ant rolled up and did the gnarly jersey barrier gap first try, then just ripped around the park until he tryed the handrail and went over the bars,it was a pretty serious fall , keeping him from entering any other parts of the contest. I never met Otto until the day of the contest, he was a really rad dude. Not only was he nice , but he also was a cannon rider. He threw to many tricks to name, then tryed to finish it off doing this huge transfer in the middle park. He ended up casing and breaking his crank arm right off! All and all it was a fun day here are some photos from the contest.
